SCEP is a hiring authority for students currently enrolled in an accredited school (greater than 6 months from graduation). Upon completing the program, the student can be converted into a permanent appointment. If you are applying for a Rangeland Management Specialist (454 series) SCEP position, your degree should be in rangeland management and you must meet the basic qualification requirements for the 454 series at the time of graduation).
