SPECIAL CONFERENCE WORKSHOP by popular demand:
CONSENSUS BUILDING
How to listen with respect and create collaborative change
WHY?
Managing rangelands is easy compared to managing the tensions and conflicts that will inevitably arise between people.
WHAT?
Consensus Building is a simple process used to resolve tensions between people. It takes your view and another’s very different view and creates a third view that both support. The process can be applied with very small or very large groups. Compromise often means both parties will have to give up something. Consensus building is different; it creates win/win from conflict.
HOW?
This workshop is 100% learning by doing. A real and contentious issue will be tackled. Participants will learn and use a step-by-step process that will transform the real tensions into a consensus plan that all support to resolve the issue.
IS IT WORTH YOUR TIME?
Do you find yourself caught in stressful tensions between people at home, or on the job, or in your watershed, or in your community, or within a group you support, or between groups that don’t get along well with each other, and solutions remain elusive? If you answer ‘yes’ to any of those, this 3 to 4 hour workshop is definitely worth your time.
