PhD Assistantship in Invasive Species and Disturbance Ecology
United States Forest Service as part of the Mountain Invasive Research Network (MIREN)
Corvallis and La Grande, Oregon

We invite applications for a graduate research assistantship (GRA; Ph. D; 3 years funding) from students interested in plant ecology, invasive species and disturbance ecology in mountain ecosystems. Research funding from this project is from the United States Forest Service, and is a part of the Mountain Invasive Research Network (MIREN) collaborative project www.miren.ethz.ch. The portion of the project assigned to this position will primarily focus on intensive collection of species composition, herbivory and disturbance data from sites in the United States Northern Rocky Mountain region with opportunities for synergistic collaboration with others researchers globally.
