Southern Hospitality, and the Horse Capital of the World Plan to attend the 2008 Joint SRM/AFGC Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky, Jan 26-31, 2008. The theme is "Building Bridges: Grasslands to Rangelands". Much of the meeting, including the plenary, will focus on building partnerships with agencies, professional organizations, and others in the agricultural and natural resource field.
Tours will include major horse farms near Lexington and the internationally known Kentucky Horse Park, Louisville Slugger Bat Factory and Museum, grazing management by some of the top cow-calf and stocker producers in the southeast, remnant prairie and grassland restoration sites, and Churchhill Downs. Some of you may even want to tour the top Bourbon distilleries in the country and take a spirit home with you. Annual Meeting Updates

At this time, The Galt House no longer has any “Single Rooms” available. Although, last minute cancellations do occur, so please try The Galt House (by phone only: 1-800-843-4258) for your rooms. If no "Single Rooms" are available at The Galt House, the Louisville Marriott Downtown will be able to assist you with your reservation. The federal rate of $97 for a "Single Room" is also being offered at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
