Student Conclave Field Tour
(Tuesday, February 9th from 2:30-6:00 PM)

This tour will take place along the foothills northwest of the Denver metro area. Tour participants will view / discuss geology and plant community ecology with local ecologist David Buckner. Mr. Buckner will speak about the unique plant communities found in the area, and how local ecological processes have shaped these communities. Students will also get a chance to view / discuss the protection and stewardship of open space lands with representatives from the City of Boulder and Boulder County. This tour will be an excellent opportunity to discuss natural resource management issues at the urban / wildland interface. The tour is a ticket student even that can be elected on the registration form for the Denver meeting. The cost is only $10.
