Texas Rangelands

Rangelands, they constitute nearly one-half of the world’s land mass, and 59% of the state of Texas.

Management needs of  rangelands are as diverse as  the state - and require innovative approaches for good management. Each part of Texas is unique, and no two management approaches will achieve the same results, even on adjacent properties.

Users of rangelands are also varied.

Everyone thinks of beef cattle when they think of rangelands, and remember the historic cattle drives across Texas.

Remember - rangeland is a type of land, not a land use.  Beef cattle grazing is a land use.

This page is still under construction—more information on Texas Rangelands will be added in the near future.

Thanks for your patience!
