2012 Award of Merit – Marji Patz

Marji Patz, current Secretary/Treasurer for the WY-SRM, was presented with the Award of Merit by her fellow Councilmen in recognition of her invaluable service noteworthy contribution. Most recently, Marji has taken on the burden of leading the effort to re-incorporate the Section and regain its tax-exempt status with the IRS. Her management of the Section’s financial status will enable WY-SRM to continue to exist and support educational opportunities important to promoting proper rangeland management. Marji has provided advice and guidance on WY-SRM affairs, including annual meetings, workshops, and youth activities, including regularly serving as a teacher for the annual Wyoming Range Education Days (WyRED) camp for kids. Her strong volunteer efforts for WY-SRM are done without complaint and in addition to her work as a Rangeland Management Specialist with the NRCS – Powell MLRA Project Office.
